Ray Harp Jewelers was established in 1953 by Ray and Doris Harp. Originally in Hughes Springs, Texas, the Harps moved the business to Atlanta i summer of 1965. It was here that the business thrived and grew with addition of the Harps' daughter, Donna and her husband David Head, along with their son Jon in January of 1974. It was during this time that Ray focused on becoming Atlanta's Diamond Store. The Harp's family grew in 1994 with Jon's marriage to Tamy. In 1997, Ray and Doris retired and Donna and David purchased the business. Jon Worked alongside his parents, eventually becoming a graduate gemologist, now having over 30 years of experience on the workbench. 60 years after establishing Ray Harp Jewelers, Ray and Doris passed away in the spring of 2013. The Second, Third and Fourth generations of the Harp's business continue with same service and integrity the customers have learned to trust. As of 2020, Jon and Tamy will be purchasing the business. They hope to continue to serve in this family tradition started by Ray and Doris back in 1953.
